Engine change Honda copy

Postby 4x4forks » Sun Nov 03, 2013 3:21 pm

Well It's finished!!
The change of engine in my 1032 from standard to a new 16hp honda copy
My son has done a video of some of the progress.
It is a great improvement on the power of a standard engine and works well at low rpm.
Now have a few standard parts for sale on the sale page.

Great movie on YouTube http://youtu.be/icPrShWKRrQ Have a look, especially if you need a new clutch. Anyone under 40 or not from the UK may have to Google Hillman Imp :-)

I am at the moment thinking about fitting hydraulics to one of my 1032s can you provide me with some photos and sizes of rams used and linkages thanks

I used a 2.18cc pump bought from ebay for about £20 spool valve single acting and the ram was second hand approx 40mm tube od 30mm internal.
and 150mm stroke. It was all trile and error but if I did it again I would use a bigger ram diameter as it is a bit quick to lift.
