Cutting Deck or Topper

Postby HHH » Wed Jul 01, 2015 2:28 pm

I have a 1032, but can't decide whether to go Topper or Gutbrod cutting deck. Pros and Cons please? I don't have a front PTO at present.

Does anybody know where I can get a PTO adapter to adapt the Gutbrod PTO to fit standard tractor implements.

Hi HHH.

To the best of my knowledge, the underbody cutting deck is belt driven from the front PTO which is a pulley controlled with an electric clutch. I do not have a front PPTO either, so I am going by photos. It looks as though a topper (of flail) is probably your best option. There are PTO converters, but they seem to turn up at random at tractor fairs and on ebay etc. I do not know of a supplier that stocks them. I am sure another member will correct me if I am wrong. Sorry not to be much help...

Cheers.
