New engine

has anyone changed the engine on a 1032. I have seen some photos on fitting a honda unit.
What are the pitfalls?
do you have to have a adaptor plate?
what shaft size is the standard engine

I have taken the engine out, but only to replace a rubber mount. It was very straightforward (but it always helps to take a load of digital photos first to make sure everything goes back in the right place)

Cheers

That great thanks for the info.
I've just order the new engine and I've order the 16hp as it's the same size outside as the 13hp. Well whats the worst that can happen HO HO !!

New engine in and working. I will post a report and photos later but basically I had to drill the clutch casing back plate to attach it to the honda. Then drill out the flywheel out to 1"parallell hole also cut a 1/4" keyway. It is a tappered hole originaly flywheel.
The honda output shaft was cut down and a spacer made to get the position of the flywheel correct in relation to the casing.
I have machined a boss up to mount a pulley on the front of the engine to run a 55amp alternator and a hydraulic pump for the rear linkage.
Hope I don't upset the purists out there.
